Wales' early modern medical historian Dr Alun Withey (we believe this is not him) writes on 'Beards, Moustaches and Facial Hair in History'. Alun Withey is an academic historian of early modern medicine and social history,
with a particular interest in Welsh medical history. From the 1st
September 2012 he’ll be a research fellow at the University of Exeter, working on the Wellcome-Trust funded project “The
medical world of early modern England, Wales and Ireland, c. 1500-1715″.
